Syner-G Pharmaceutical Consulting has a broad offering of specialized chemistry, manufacturing and control (CMC) consulting services for pharma and biotech companies. This includes technical development/project management, regulatory services, and quality/compliance services. We also have an IT Compliance Services offering that ensures FDA software and information technology requirements are met (21 CFR Part II compliance auditing, IT auditing, data integrity auditing, compliance training, FDA readiness auditing, and IT vendor assessments). The Position:

We are looking for an energetic and driven Director of Business Development to expand current relationships as well as drive revenue growth and market positioning by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing new business relationships. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, ready to dig in, get hands dirty and build our business development function from the ground up. This role will work closely with our operations team as well as senior management to maintain and expand existing accounts as well as develop and close new opportunities. Syner-G has exhibited a strong revenue and earnings growth trajectory with a solid foundation to continue this performance into the future.  


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
  • Meet or exceed revenue target in assigned territory
  • Identify key decision-makers within targeted organizations to establish long-term positive relationships that lead to new signed contracts
  • Actively manages entire sales life cycle through project engagement and subsequent customer maintenance with a strong focus on personalized service
  • Prospects, identifies, qualifies, and prioritizes new business leads
  • Drive prospective customers to participate in capabilities presentations
  • Develop and maintain a full business pipeline of prospective clients
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, account plans and territory management activities
  • Contribute to annual budgets and pro forma modeling
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor’s offerings


Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology biotechnology), business administration, or related field
  • Not less than five (7) years of experience in pharmaceutical services sales leadership, account management, or related industry with a proven track record of overachievement of goals
  • Thorough knowledge of small and large molecule pharmaceutical services and market
  • Deep network within the New England pharmaceutical and biotech market
  • Proven track record in closing deals and driving significant top-line revenue
  • The breadth of technical knowledge to converse with client stakeholders in regulatory procedures and requirements as it pertains to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to build relationships through professional sales and interpersonal skills with a disciplined and organized approach
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, onthe telephone and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, resulting in excellent rapport with colleagues; proven success in initiating, promoting, and maintaining communication among teams
  • Excellent presentation and negotiating skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
